The aim of Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership is to help improve employability outcomes and labour market conditions locally. The Labour Market Partnership is offering free training for employees in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area to support industry-related training.
Level 2 Award in Fire Safety
You will, no doubt, be well aware of the potentiallly devastating effects of fires in the workplace in terms of lives lost , injuries, damage to property and the environment and to business continuity. You may also be aware that it is believed that most fires are preventable. There is a duty from health and safety legislation on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.
A range of subjects is covered including:
- The hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
- How fire risk is controlled in the workplace
- The role of the nominated fire warden
- The principles and practice of fire safety management at work.
Certification
The qualification does not have an expiry date but refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to policies, procedures and new legislation through ongoing CPD is vital.
**Please note, delegates are required to bring photo ID to attend the course as this is a stipulation from the awarding organisation.
Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
If you cannot attend, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations within 48 hours and no shows will incur a cancellation charge.
It is entirely at the Council’s discretion to accept registrations. Registrations from companies outside the Borough may be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the entire discretion of the council.
